2020 Outstanding Graduate Student Award: Mr. Aniruddha Maity

Aniruddha Maity is a Ph.D. candidate with Dr. Muthukumar Bagavathiannan at Texas A&M University, where he studies seed biology and ecology aspects of weeds at Texas A&M. He serves as an Agricultural Research Scientist at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. He received his B.Sc. from Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal and M.Sc. from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He is an active member of several science societies including the tri-societies, Weed Science Society of America, and The Indian Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding. He has authored about 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, besides a number of extension articles, book chapters, training manuals, and website contents. Additionally, he leads various student and professional groups in different capacities.
